Costs are $50 for members; $35 for government and academia; $25 for students. Non-member costs are $100 but a member rate is available for those that join AWMA prior to the conference. Food and refreshments are included at no additional cost.
PDH credits for attending and a certifying certificate will be provided for attendees.

In keeping with our Chapter’s efforts to move around and provide varied programs our Chapter held a Pecha Kucha Night on Election Day Tuesday November 4, 2014 at the local Akron brewery the Thirsty Dog. The Thirsty Dog provided a great venue for our members to get together. We provided the food and the Thirsty Dog’s provided us the opportunity to sample a number of their fine brews.
The event was highlighted by owner John Najeway telling us all about the history of the brewery. We followed that up with a tour of the brewery and glimpse into its exciting future.
The evening was concluded with our Pecha Kucha presentations provided by
Pat Nortz —Krejci Dump Site Restoration;
Kevin Sobnosky— Environmental Regulatory Update from a Consultants Prospective;
Brian Kolts — New Jersey Coastal Inundation Model;
and a humorous wrap up by Scott Smith with Foreign Travel Photos.
A good time was had by all. Check out Thirsty Dog Brewing Company website for more info.
We look forward to holding another event next Spring. We invite input on topics that would be of interest.
If you wish to display your company logo on the AWMA NOC web site, we are accepting sponsorships for a nominal fee. For details, email Bob Perry.
Hello, fellow air, waste, and environmental enthusiasts.
Come join the monthly Planning Committee meeting of AWMA NOC. Our meetings are conducted approximately ten months out of the year on the 2nd Thursday, 4:00 PM at the Brecksville Library. These meetings offer a great opportunity to network and to stay abreast of developments in the air and waste “environmental” world.
Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions. Looking forward to seeing you!
